Hospital Policies
At Creedmoor Road Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care in a warm and welcoming environment. Our policies are carefully designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of your furry family members.
To facilitate a smooth and positive experience for both pets and their owners, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the detailed policies outlined below. These guidelines reflect our commitment to upholding high standards of veterinary care, ethical practices, and personalized attention for each animal in our care.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, our friendly and knowledgeable staff is always ready to assist you. Thank you for choosing Creedmoor Road Animal Hospital for your pet’s healthcare needs. Please take a moment to read the policies provided below:
1. Appointment Policy
To allow appropriate time for all patients and for scheduled surgeries, we operate by appointment only. Please understand that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
2. Client Arrival Policy
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will give us time to look over your pet’s previous health records if you did not send them previously. In addition, a stool sample is recommended for all new patients.
Although we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. For this reason, we request the following:
*For dogs, this means a properly fitted collar or harness and a non-retractable leash. If your pet is aggressive or hard to control, feel free to come in first or call to make sure the coast is clear or to ask for assistance. On some instances, we may not have assistance available depending on our staffing that day.
*For cats, we require they be in a pet carrier for their own protection while out in the lobby.
3. Pharmacy Policy
We respect the right of our clients to get their pet’s medications from the pharmacy of their choice. Unfortunately, there is a high number of requests by online pharmacies that are inappropriate and inaccurate. By filling your prescriptions with us directly, we can provide the safest and most efficient service for your prescription refills. If you are choosing to have a prescription filled through another pharmacy, we are happy to prepare a written prescription for you to pick up which will result in a fee.
Our policy is to issue you a handwritten prescription which can be taken or mailed to any pharmacy of your choosing, or uploaded to an online pharmacy.
We advise that you keep a copy for your records and ensure that you receive the correct medication with the correct dosing instructions.
*Please make sure to check with the pharmacy you plan on using in advance so there won’t be any lapse in medications.
Need to Know
* Patients need to have a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship. This means that in order for us to be able to fill any prescriptions one of our veterinarians needs to have examined your animal within the last 12 months.
* Refill Requests Timing. Most of our prescription requests will be filled within the same day but we ask that you allow 48 hours for any prescriptions to be filled to allow our team to review the request.
* Online Pharmacy Prescriptions are no longer approved through our office unless you are ordering from VetsFirstChoice which is our online pharmacy. Please read our pharmacy policy above.
