Canine Rehabilitation

At Creedmoor Road Animal Hospital, we have seen how physical rehabilitation can help increase a patient’s strength and mobility, decrease pain, aid in their proprioception (awareness of foot placement) and increase overall well-being. Physical rehabilitation is also extremely important for a quicker recovery for postoperative patients. Studies have shown that rehab can help return or maintain function as well as reduce the severe muscle loss post-surgery.

We offer a variety of rehabilitation options that include:

  • Cold laser therapy (text link to laser therapy page)
  • Soft tissue mobilization
  • Traction
  • Joint compressions
  • Neuro-muscular electrostimulation
  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Massage

We also employ the use of various supplements and disease modifying agents to help augment our rehabilitation treatment plans, such as:

  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
  • High dose omega 3’s
  • Glucosamine
  • MSM
  • Injectable glycosaminoglycans
